Geography: BND Frontiers Team has field experience in: globally including: Uganda, Somalia, Kenya, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Ethiopia, South Africa, Djibouti, Mali, Nigeria, South Sudan, Niger, Jordan, Thailand, China, Sri Lanka, India, Haiti, UK, Germany and USA. Additional programmatic experience in: Yemen, Tanzania, Jordan, Syria, Guatemala, and El Salvador.
Our team has held senior positions addressing the needs of vulnerable and disaster-affected communities and finding innovative solutions, in liaison with global and local interdisciplinary teams. This work has involved convening innovation ecosystem stakeholders to map, prototype and scale innovations and practices using both low and high tech tools and solutions. The team believes firmly in the potential of local innovations and recognize that the challenges faced by entrepreneurs can be addressed by engaging in innovation ecosystem building and youth leadership development.
Our team has experience working with universities globally, co-developing leadership development programs with government actors as well as creating graduate programming in the area of disaster management and resilience. Living and working within eastern Africa provides opportunities to work on various complex challenges with many networks of multi-sectoral problem solvers.
